Robot statistics correct as of its most recent competition |
Depth Charge is a robot armed with a unique clamshell flipper, designed by Team Mongoose.
It utilises an effective two-wheel-drive wedge design, and combines it with a full-body flipper. The flipper comprises almost the entire top half of the machine, and rotates around the same axis as the drive wheels, allowing the weaponry to function at full power either way up.
It made its debut in the second League of Robotic Excellence tournament, achieving an 8-4 record and making the playoffs, before losing to Latvian Gambit.
Its second appearance was in FRR:Backlash, where it fared even better, finishing with an 11-3 record, and claiming the Middleweight Championship in a close match against Team Covenant's experimental spinner Juno.
