Scarab is a Lightweight drumbot created by KodeBreaker of Team Covenant. It is a 2WD drumbot with front static prongs to get under robots and fling them into the path of the drum, thereupon ripping up wedges and rendering them ineffective. It can run inverted thanks to antennae that are solid and do not bend. This does have the effect of making the drum harder to reach the opponent when inverted, but they look hella cool!
The fifth iteration makes a return to the beater style of weaponry. The third and fourth versions respectively had a traditional solid drum.
Scarab is one of the four original entries of Team Covenant, alongside Perseus, Shadow Zone Forever, and Fulcrum. However, his only legitimate win in that tournament was against Team Picus' walker, Broken Wings.
Scarab did not have much success in the CFL circuit at first, going 2-8 in ARC: Reckoning and breaking even (5-5) in FRR: Dead Zone. However, he finally managed to make it all the way to the finals of Ruination: The Omen, at last getting knocked out by Spatula's Annoying Box Rush, going 12-2. He returned for Robot Bastards, only to draw even again (6-6) and miss the play-offs.
Scarab currently holds the second-highest amount of KOs for a single bot in Team Covenant, at 11 KOs, right behind Luna who has 12.

Trivia[]
- Scarab used to be a vertical clampbot named Aztec. This was VERY ineffective and prompted Josh Noel of Team Blood Gulch to say, upon viewing it, 'Chomp chomp... LOL'
- Name inspiration: Mainly the scarab beetles of Egypt.
