Tidal Wave is a lightweight robot designed by Hiicantpk of Team 57. It features a large spinning drum as its primary weapon. It is a two wheel drive machine.
In the second iteration of the design, the shape of the body was reworked. Also this design revision added two sacrificial shields on each side of the robot that protected the weapon rails as well as the sides of the wheels.
Tidal Wave has arguably been Team 57's best performing and most well known robot, albiet having a worse record than newer bots such as Chronic Jobber.
This robot has so far been entered in six tournaments. One in its original iteration (FRR: Backlash) and five in its current form (Cherry Bomb Classic, ROBOTS, Cherry Bomb Classic 2, Ruination: The Upheaval, and Cherry Bomb Classic 3).
